A210 stop light switch

Hi All,
My wife has a A210 evolution and the brake lights have stayed on after she has left the car hence the battery went flat and i got shouted at ???
After investigation i am sure its the stop light switch but befor i have all the aggro at my local merc garage - could any one let me know if the switch is adjustable ( like they all used to be on my cortinas and capris):-D

I dont thing they are adjustable, however they are very easy to get to on the a-class, no need to remove anything, just have a look at the pedal and you will see it, it might of just come unpluged, or detached, anyway they are cheap from mb if it is knackered.

Thanks for the reply, I have checked the plug - all looked ok , it just seems that if you so much as look at the brake the lights come on. I dont think the switch is *****d but either needs winding out a bit or has been kicked by (must be me) the drivers big feet. What if anything would result if i just unpluged the switch till i can sort it?

The W210 brake light switch is a very common failure item. It is not expensive to replace and as far as I know it isn't adjustable.
I can't remember if the pedal travel is either.

Replace the switch then tell your wife off for riding the brake ...

Thanks for the help, went to mercedes romford for switch (they only had it in stock) Parted with the sum of £8 - fitted it in the carpark just incase of complications - But to my supprise it all went to plan!!
