abs activation

hi all,
       i was wondering if anyone had any advice on a problem i have with my abs-(i have a 260e)
When coming to a halt the abs activates even though it is dry and i am definately not skidding.However, this ONLY happens when the disks and pads are warmed up to operating temp and is accompaied by squealing brakes-i.e no problem when there is no squealing and brakes are cold but problem with abs when brakes are warm and squealing!
i am not sure if the squealing is linked in anyway, but it does seem co-incidental that the two happen together.

i hope one of you may be able to offer any form of help.

Hi

Sounds like the one or both of the ABS sensors at the front are operating outside of there range. IE. Operating when they shouldn't be. I would get them tested and replace as required.

The brake squeal is probably because you have cheap brake pads fitted.

ok-i'll get the abs checked
the pads were replaced a month ago with genuine merc pads bought from a main dealer.
