These warning lights came on last week and have not gone off since. From reading the forums I have tried the following

turning the steering wheel full lock twice
Hard braking
replaced the brake light switch

unfortunaely the lights are still on. The cruise still works and following this mornings harsh braking to avoid a dog I think the ABS is still working - so i am confused - any ideas ?

I presume it could be one of the wheel sensors but which one ? and why does it appear that ABS is working ? I have also tried to spin the wheels but it feels like traction is still on

Help !!

Thanks

Craig

You've done the obvious stuff so I'd suspect a wheel sensor (hopefully). The fault codes should indicate where the problem is - Time for a visit to an indie I suggest.

If the ABS is still working it will not be a wheel sensor as the system shuts down with a sensor fault.

True, but then the light shouldn't be on if the ABS is still working so there is something missing from this puzzle. I haven't heard of the warning lights coming on for no reason but I guess with the electronics anything is possible. I'd still suggest that fault codes (or lack of them) is the next step.
