Abs, Esp & Asr Lights

Hi Guys
Merc sprinter 311 owner here (New Member)
Courier driver in Luton!
My front dash has suddenly lit up like a christmas tree with ABS, ESP and ASR lights all coming on at the same time!
Not knowing where the bonnet lever is, (Joking! but not mechanicaly minded) can enybody give me some advice.
The man that know's everything, (Theres always 1 in every depot) tells me a relay has gone?!

Hi & Welcome,

There is a common issue on the passenger cars whereby the brake light switch at the top of the foot brake fails and causes the ABS, ESP & ASR lights to come on. The brake lights still work however!
A new switch is the simple and inexpensive cure. I don't know if it affects the sprinters as well however it does seem similar.

I too believe that the brake light switch will affect the sprinter, put it this way, I am 80% certain

swap it with one from another van to check.

there;s not much to see or twiddle with......

......sigh...!!

my dash has lit up exactly like this. Is the brake light switch first port of call??

Are they expensive from the dealers?

It only came on after jabbing at the pedal due to some numpty not indicating and pulling out in front of me
