Abs/esp/bas Visit Workshop

hi wonder if anyone can help me was driving down the motorway the other day in very very heavy rain esp abs and bas faults came on the speedo went back to zero and stopped working when i pulled of the mway and dropped below 20 it wouldnt go past 40mph pulled in did the steering lock thing and reset back to factory settings all lights went out drove fine for a week just washed it pressure washed the wheels and brake calipers now all lights back on again bas esp abs visit workshop tested the abs it locks up and skids power is not down and the speedo is working fine just got the 2 amber lights saying bas esp and abs and the same on the computer warning just wondering is water affecting it could this be the straw that broke the camels back its a w208 clk 230k advantguard on a 2000 plate x

brake light switch

above brake pedal , just unscrew cover below dash and its easy, about £15.should be your first port of call. otherwise star machine for fault codes .all the best.

update also noticed my cruise control has gone down 4 error messages now showing speed tronic visit workshop had a look under the cover in footwell theres a little white fuse box type thing that two plugs plug into is this what could be causing the problems or is it rpm sensor as advised above if so where is rpm sensor

as i suspected before rpm sensor, check you havent got water in the esp unit, plug on abs unit!!

cheers colechelle got it booked in a garage tomorrow will let him know suspect rpm sensor cheers

results of test are brake light switch and abs sensor so not so bad
