abs light on

whilst looking for a drain on the battery of my 92 sl 300 I connected the battery the car the wrong way round via an ammeter the result is the abs light stays on does anyone know of a fix and could I have damaged anything else thanks mark

You will have blown the fuse on the OVP relay

Hi everyone, on my 124, I have the ABS light on but NOT sraight away when I start; only after a minute or two ! Could you tell me what I should look for ??

It doesnt happen all the time but most specially when I drive it hard, the ABS light indicator turns on. What could it possibly be and what remedies should I look out for? Thanks.

Wheel speed sensors and OVP relay are the most common cause.

Not all 202's have a OVP relay, its 128 in the link.

Another thing that could turn the ABS lamp on is a low voltage battery, always start with basics first, the voltage should be min 12v before you start the car and 13.8 when the car is running
