Can you check the live data on iCarsoft and see if one of the wheels is giving an erroneous reading.

As the battery has been removed you may need to re- calibrate the steering wheel angle sensor by turning the wheels from lock to lock a couple of times.

This is a steering angle problem, often brought about on start up by a low/failing battery.

Icarsoft has a function whereby you can reset the steering angle. Make sure you are in a large area where you can turn left and right without stopping. The instructions will appear on the screen, as you drive.

That usually brings on the ESP light. Is it on?. Low battery can bring on these faults. You say you changed the battery. Is the new battery ok? Also the steering angle sensor being faulty or not reset can bring up other faults, as the yaw rate is inextricably linked via the ABS.

Mercedes said the sensor rate A0025426618 was causing the problem, their cost £643 plus £300 LABOUR PLUS vat, was replaced with a known working one, with no change so I need to investigate further. Cost of secondhand spare approx £ 10

any further help from anyone....thanks Paul/
