ABS & misfiring

Hi,

My 1990 W124 300CE-24 is giving the following problems:

1) ABS light comes out when engine starts but only after switching the headlights on!

2) The engine misfire after having not start it for more than 3 days. When this happens, give it a spin for few miles and the misfiring is gone!

You have probably got a poorly charged battery and the voltage is under the threshold for ABS thus it does not work when light is on.

Second.

You probably have leaking injectors so that when starting from cold and the cold start injector puts even more fuel into cylinders you have too much petrol in cylinders.

Once this excess fuel burns off the car will settle down OK.
