ABS Module Virginisation 2012 S350

Hi everyone I learnt a new word yesterday Virginisation!

My ABS module and pump threw a thrombosis which has meant an MOT failure, the unit has been sent off to two repair companies who don't have the correct rig to test and repair so I bought a replacement unit and the garage have fitted it and the car cannot see it due to it being coded to the car it was removed from! Very frustrating and getting expensive.

Does anyone have a contact for virginising these units or possibly repairing my current one?

Pump part number A221 431 16 48
Module part number A221 900 20 04

I live in Oldham in the North West.

I had to have my abs pump coded to the car
Mph prestige got someone in to do this for me

How much did it cost you to get coded?

fingers crossed someone can as you say a new module is looking like an 8 month wait from Mercedes. I’ll keep this thread updated.

Not sure of the cost as I had other work done in the car and all was one bill

Let’s us know if you can get virginised, if it has to be new, ask if they do a merc exchange unit, half the price and they don’t always offer it.

I can’t get a sensible answer out of any of the sources I’ve tried so far all conflicting information about what can and can’t be done. Looks like my car is being broken for parts at this rate!

Out of interest, which two companies did you use initally?

repair the old one ABS units all die, it all basic designed in faults you can remove forever

some claim they need the fault codes - its all rubbish, they all know why they die

these guys did my bike one....

Out of interest, which two companies did you use initally?

1. ECU testing - Sent it to them and they returned it saying they didn’t have the right rig even though every ABS module and pump on their website looks identical to the S350 one!
2. Autotronics - Just sent the module back with no reason given.

another half a dozen ABS module repair specialists have also said they cannot fix it, very very strange.

Yes if available, but you need to ask. I’ve got one on order for the last 8 weeks, no sign of it showing up yet.
