Hello

Does anyone know how easy/diificult it is to change the abs sensor on an '85 380SL? the abs light flickers on and off and I've already chaged the relay so I cant think of anything else.

if it flickers its likely to be a loose connection. check the wires.

if its a very regular flicker - check the pulse sender (cog thing on the hub) is clean(ish)

just a guess....

Thanks all for your replys
- I have had it checked professionally and all other causes (dirt/loose connections etc) have been eliminated. My local specialist thinks its the near side sensor I suppose my previous description was not accurate enough. The light comes on when I accelerate and goes off when I stop. It then goes off completely once I have driven the car for a while.
- I bought a new sensor for someone who didnt need it anymore for £20 so I thought I would have a go at fitting it.
- How difficult is it to fit? anything I should look out for?

Regards
Sam
