My ABS keeps switching on and off, I suspect one of the speed sensors is not working, where is the best place to purchase them, other than MB, or is there no alternative.

Some aftermarket ones can give the wrong readings, so oe is recommended - although oe quality can be questionable…

If it keeps coming on and off, could the problem be in the wiring or plug connections.

I think that OEM parts tend to be Bosch, but MB probably best place to get them to be sure.
Under what conditions is your ABS switched off? (I'm assuming that this is when the ABS warning light is lit constantly).

It comes on as I am driving, it also goes of as I am driving, so I suspect the wiring, all I have to do is find which one.

l had a look at the rear abs sensors, the near side sensor plug which is behind the splash shield, only has two pins that plug into the socket, unlike the off side which has four pins, it did look to me that the pins must have broken off, am I right in assuming that its possible the pins have broken off, causing the abs to malfunction.???

Have since looked at the Febi & Bilstien web site, and discovered that the ABS sensor connection on the rear near side, does indeed only have have two pins connections, so next step is to look at the front wheel sensor and magnetic ring.
