What car is it? (First 6 numbers of VIN can help a lot)
What other warning lamps are lit?
When do the warning lights come on?
If its ABS/SRS/BAS then have you tried replacing the brake pedal switch?

As brandwooddixon, the brake light switch is the first thing to check, only £9 from MB

There is a possibilty that incorrectly adjusted or worn out front wheel bearings can cause intermittent loss of sensor signals.
