Hi its me again. As I said on the other post, I bought a 1978 450sl. It comes with automatic climate control.

Well I bought the car in LA and on the long drive home it overheated. Until I noticed the temperature, the AC was ice cold and working very well. After I saw it was overheating, I tunred on the AC and tried to turn it on later, but it would not turn on.

Three days ago I took the car on a little drive and te AC would not turn on. Yesterday I took it for another drive and it blew ice cold and I actually had to turn up the temp. Today, it will not blow again. The three vents in the middle of the dash do not blow. Can somebody help me out? Thanks!

Could be a simple temp sensor prob (loose connection or dodgy sensor) normally located at the front of the car ahead of the rad and perhaps behind the bumper.
