Accelerated suspension wear - Bushes.

My C-class has got around 15k on the clock - I have been recently told that the bushes on the fron suspension have worn out as I took the car in a few days ago as I was hearing a clonking noise as i gently drove over speed bumps.


the car was registred in sept 2003 and is a classic - the bushes are to the front.

is this normal?

It shouldn't be normal, but it's a fairly common problem on the W203 C classes. Many owners appear to have suffered from clonking front suspension.

I believe that when your car gets fixed under warranty that the replacements use a slightly different design to stop it happening so quickly next time.

Thank you. I'm getting the bushes replaced under warranty next week or the wek after.

How can I find out that the new bushes are the revised ones?
