Hi I wonder if anyone can help I recently bought a 2017 E200,it didn't have a sd card so the garage has provided one with the latest maps, I've put it in but it's constantly trying to acquire satelites amd the country is Albania, I've looked about and this seems to be a common problem with the antenna, the only other issue is the 12v socket in the front is not working either, could this be linked?
I don't particularly want to pay dealer prices north of £400 so hoping it can be an easy fix!

Is the antenna in the driver mirror or the passenger on a right hand drive?
Also is it a w213 and or how can I find out?

Thanks in anticipation.

wow no takers....

you can buy an aftermarket GPS antenna with a fakra connector for not much money on ebay - it would be nice to know beforehand if you need it, but they are really cheap - older cars used to have these fail about 9 to 12 years.... it just needs to see the outside world so if you don't have a pink ir windscreen they can sit under the plastic dash out of sight

I wouldn't be be surprised if you have more than one problem - these days you don't just pop a map in - many need a pin or a keycode to unlock it

Have you checked the socket with a multimeter, then the fuse as sometimes they are high amps (own circuit).

get the codes read on car. decent scanners - also scan command for problems - ie gps fault.

Thanks for the reply mate are they easy enough to fit? I'm still not sure if the current antenna is in the driver/passenger mirror or the rear windscreen.

Thanks for the reply, good shout I will check it out. I think the 12v fuse is in the boot but the car has 4 different fuse board locations
