Hi

I want to replace my 'activated charcoal filter ' - recommended it is done every two years or 35k miles - last service was an A service, but now the warranty has expeired and I'm considering going to an independent but they will do everything but that.

Where is it and how do i replace it?

Is it available from the internet and approx how much from stealership?

my car - 2003/53 plate C180K, 4 door auto.

Thanks.

BTW - if your footbrake judders/creaks/stiff, use pdf spray, makes it like new.

I mentioned about the replacement of this filter when I had my car serviced as it was 2 years old. I was told that this was not done that often and that they would change it when the computer told them to:confused: Perhaps you can check with your local dealer. My dealer also told me that the part was v. expensive:eek:

I could find no trace of when it should be changed on my 2001 C270, price for mine was approx £68 so did not bother.
Sure it isn't the paper filter that should be renewed every 2 years?
