VW paid out £193 million to settle just one of these claims recently. It's all for real.

Issue i have is, how do you identity which company is legit to claim through?

He was behind, it's pretty much his responsibility to not run into the car in front (or a parked lorry...) if he has dashcam showing you pulled across him then something different - but it doesn't sound like it and you're an innocent party - I wouldn't be claiming and I wouldn't be accepting any knock for knock carp that your insurance company may "insist" on

I am not claiming anything. I am just trying. Hoping I don't end up with a claim in me. I have reported to insurers claim line this am. Attach extent of my damage. As he just touched me over to front edge of parked trucks plastic front bumper corner?

Unless I was just that close anyway???

I'd say he didn't touch me - otherwise your insurance will no doubt log it as a claim..
