Add to the 3 - Indicator warning

Not really a problem but I get the following warning it's a W221 I think (2000 S320)

Right Indicator Reflector - Please Check

Now is that the one on the mirrors? When I look at them from the front of the car when it's stationery only the little square nearest the door seems to light up, not the entire lenght of the mirror which I presume it should, is there any instructions online about how to change it/them?

I think that you will find that on the pre facelift S320 (which the 2000 is) it does not have the full length reflector, so the inicator only only flashes at the end of the mirror housing nearest the car.

Do both mirroes flash, and are they both the same?

Check that the mirror casing is pushed fully home as there is a bayonet type connection which can dislodge.

If you are still having problems, I can send you an attachment showing how to take the mirror apart to replace the light.

Just a little note here, the indicators in the mirrors use LEDs on later cars and small lamps on the early ones, they should all be on at any one time and cost around £17.

The repeater LEDs in the driverside door mirror have stopped working!! I have read that you have the diagram to enable me to disassemble the mirror. Please can you E mail me a copy of this.

I have a C Class 180 elegance 51 Plate 2001

I am not absolutely sure that the C Class mirror fitting is the same as the S, but the principal will be the same.

On all of these mirror, just press the glass down at the bottom, unhook the wire spring across the top behind the glass, glass lifts out, and you can see the screws to remove the back cover.
