Adding AV equipment to C Class with Comand with TV Tuner

Hi,

I wondered if anyone has added AV equipment e.g. DVD player to their C Class with Comand?

I have got Comand 2.0 with TV Tuner. I had expected RCA sockets to be on the TV Tuner but if you see the picture below there are none fitted.

On the screen there is the option to select AV1 or AV2 and the handbook for the Comand also says that it is possible to connect external video equipment (it just does not tell you how!).

Does anyone know if you have to buy a specific multi-pin plug to connect to the TVTuner or if there are any other ways of connecting external equipment?

I think your tuner is the same one as I have in the garage. It is from a pre facelift S Class (and maybe others) and needs a seperate lead to access the AV.

I am pretty sure this lead I have is wired to provide AV Out as it was used to put the display onto additional screens in a 2002 S Class. I don't see why it can't have the pins moved to the correct positions to provide an AV input. This is the wiring pinouts for your TV Tuner

I found a cable on ebay that plugs into the tuner to provide RCA connections.

I am sure it is a damn sight cheaper than going direct to MB.
