I have a E280 1995 W124 estate. It has a tow bar and single electrics, but I need to fit double electrics. The owner's manual says that there is a 'permanent current for trailer' in the Auxiliary Fuse Box which is next to the main one but I can't find it. Does anyone know where this is? Maybe not all W124s have this? If not, is there anywhere at the reart of the car I can pick up a permenant +12v supply?

Many thanks in advance,

SG

Should be next to main box. I think the Auto Climate fuse is in there also. This was an uprade in early 90s as the old systems climate fuse gave trouble.

If you dont have climate, its is fuse no 5 , 8A in the main fuse box

Thanks for the response. I can't find the aux fuse box at all, but fuses C, 9 & 10 are showing a constant 12v supply so I could try those. Do you know if there is a live 12 supply at the back of the car (to avoid having to feed a wire the whole length of the car)?

Many thanks,

SG

My W124 is now no more, but I remember having to run a feed all the way from front to rear. Seem to recall the aux fuse box was somewhere on the right hand side just in front of the scuttle (looking from the front).
