Advice About the Purchase of a MB TE 200 Estate 1988

I am looking at purchasing MB 200 Estate Auto, is there anything specifically I should be looking at, the garage is asking £1295 for it, it has 147,000 on the clock and looks cosmetically in good condition, they will also put a years MOT on it before the sale, I would welcome any advice.
