Hi All,

When changing rear pads on e class can you leave auto box in park and does the footbrake need to be released?

Thanks

Foot brake will need to be released if you want to get the discs off but shouldn’t have to just for pads (assuming you’re not changing the parking brake shoes as well)

In Park is ok, but chock the front wheels because once you’ve got one rear wheel in the air the diff will allow the other one to move if you’re on any slope at all
