I am picking the car up on Friday (E320 CDI avantgarde) it has a nokia 6310 cradle in the arm rest. The sales guy said it was pre wired (what ever that means)
Can I get a cradle for a nokia 6021 from MB and can I just plug the new one in?

Thanks

Malcolm,

Wouldn't you need a new phone module as well? or does the 6021 use the same ona as the 6310i.

How old is the car?
Mid 04 -> yes you can swap it anbd even install bluetooth - earlier than that, you could but the choice is severely limited and the cost and work involved crazy - buy a Nokia or parrott kit.

I have the bluetooth cradle in my car, I have 3 phones and a PDA sync'd to it and they all work well on it (although only 1 at a time). Only very slight issues with it are;

  • Phone isn't charged so goes flat fast
  • If your on a call when you unlock the car it transfers the call to the car and the handset goes quiet.
  • Since the phone doesn't plug into the cradle I would have preferred it to be hidden somewhere in the car and have the space in the top of the armrest. Although I expect that in the future this will be the way it will go.

On this serries of car it should be interchangable as both phones are listed for the car
