Unfortunately I must have sat on a seat somewhere that someone had left their chewing gum. As a result, when I got out of my car I thought the seat was ripped, but it turned out to be chewing gum on the seat, I then realised that it was on the arse of my jeans. I scraped most of it off, but is there anything I can use to get the remainder off without scratching the leather?

Ta!

Yeah..... stick ya car in the freezer, that'll do it !
Or drive it to the North pole and leave it there for 5 minutes with the doors open !

Parrot of Doom is right. Use ice out of your freezer, the chewing gum will go hard and you can just pick it off.

Or if your a smoker, use lighter refill gas, I've used it to remove gum from my sons blazer. If you do I'd leave the doors open for a while ;)
