I'm about to fit a Revo DAB adaptor to a Mercedes C-Class W203 2003 model.

The car uses the rear windscreen for its radio aerial. Has ayone used a splitter to supply the DAB feed - if so what has been their experience. This is my preferred solution as it keeps the car "clean".

The car wil be used for a commute between Surrey and london - so reasonable signal strength all the way.

If I have to go with the glass mount aerial then what suggestions would the forum members make.

I did a bit of research on this subject.

I have a Blaupunkt DAB stereo fitted. I was advised agaist "wasting my money" on an aerial splitter, instead I fitted a windscreen aerial for DAB - it is OK but not exceptional. On the M40 it looses reception near Banbury, on the A14 it is dodgy near Northampton, M11 between Cambridge and Stansted is useless and so is the M5 south of Worcester

I think that if I was getting another aerial I would probably go with a proper roof mounted one to get the best reception possible

I do like my DAB radio in the car - BBC7 is great during the early morning / late evening runs, Radio 5 live is so much better than on AM - overall the sound quality is so much better - I find it a real pain when I have to switch back to FM in the black spots
