I agree with mondeoman. Retro fitting just about every optional extra usually costs an arm at least. However, if its original MB stuff supplied by a dealer, that should be fine. Fitting leather isn't really a complicated matter.

Do not believe anything until it is WRITTEN down. Stealer will say anything, and you will have no comeback if it turns out that the leather seats were in fact done by some dodgy bloke and they start to sag/split after only a year or two.

If they are genuine merc seats then fine: dealer will not be afraid to put that in writing.

Unless the dealer is swapping the interior from another car I can't see it. The cost of a full interior from the factory would be horrific. I suspect that he has an after market guy who does leather conversions. I was offered one when I bought my E class a few years ago. Insist on seeing one that has been done - I wasn't particularly impressed with the job I saw. The seats lacked shape and compared to the factory fit, it looked a bit crap.

I thank you all

I thank you all for your advise and comments,

Well I picked my car up to today, and I must say I'm very impressed, I have never owned a diesel before but the perofrmance is fantastic.

Trying to find a 220 CDI in prime condition with low millage, was difficult in my area, most had 30,000 + on a two year old car and still no leather, its seems very hard to find a 220 CDI with leather, 230K's all day long.

Anyway, the leather looks the same as if it had been fitted in the factory, I parked my car against another 220 CDI which was factory fitted, the look and quality was superb, I would have never of know, in fact, the grain quality in mine was better. (maybe I was lucky)

This car is a 2003 with 19,000 on the clock and including leather it still beats some of the other dealer prices.

Thanks

Bradley
