air bubbles

hello. can anyone help. i've got air bubbles in my inline filter.i have followed the clear pipe back'and i can see the bubbles coming out from the fuel tank. is the air getting in from in or around the tank.or could it be elsewhere.any suggestions appreciated.

the most likely source is a small split / leak just before the pump - which iirc is after the filter. usually theres a pipe that bends 180 degrees round and back into the pump.

simple enough to replace - but put the fag out before doing it ;)

Thank's. So The Leak Could Be There,and If So Air Would Run Along All The See Through Fuel Lines.the Garage Were Going To Lower The Fuel Tank And Check That.i'll Get That Pipe Checked,hopefully Its That And It Won't Cost Me Hundreds For The Garage's Labour.

hi there, i'm new to here, i have got a c220 diesel with air in the fuel lines. I traced it to the tank and put a clear pipe onto outlet and could quite clearly see air bubbles coming from the outlet, is there something inside the tank come adrift please help??????????
