air cap ie front air deflector on a convertible

hi my air cap(this is the air deflector, that pops up buy the front windscreen ) has stopped working it dont pop up no more. new one is a £1000 ,
anyone know any places to look as to be the fault before i buy a new one.and how hard will it be to replace ,cheers ,any input would be grand.thanks

scrap any answers cheers .after some looking a round on here ,its not worth the bother .happy as it is,never had it working wont miss something i never had cheers
