Air-Con Compressor Bearing Refurb?

The bearings in my clk air-con compressor are on their way out, making a loud rumbling / grinding noise. I believe the compressor itself is fine - the A/C works ok. Has anyone had any success in getting the bearings refurb'ed? If so, any advice on who could do the work (SW London convenient, but willing to post compressor if cost effective). Thanks.

what led you to believe its the bearings , as i had a similar problem but then it stopped making the noise.

It may not be the bearings, but I think it is. Taking the belt off and spinning
the pulley makes a bad grinding noise. The compressor seems ok - reasonable
a/c performance and resistance turning by hand.
