my ac runs warm on the driver side but cold on passenger side when both side are set to 18c . this only happen after the alternator was replaced as car broke down with with battery alternator error followed by battery defective error. could this have affected the operation of the ac, it only blows hot on drivers side the back ones and passenger side are ok. car is w203 c180 year 2000 with dual climate control. any idea what causes this?
thanks

Its either a duovalve problem (theres a HOWTO on this, in the HOWTO section), or low coolant in the AC system.

Hello, you could try a reset. Switch on ignition.

Press recirculated air and defrost buttons on control panel together for longer than 5 seconds.

The LED's in the defrost and recirculated air buttons flash alternately.

Wait until the LED's stop flashing (approx 30 sec) system set to defrost LED on.

Switch off ignition.

After 40 sec re start engine.

I do hope that it works for you

I tried the reset and what a difference, it is now blowing cold on both side but the passenger side is one or two degree colder you can feel the difference if you put your hand near the vents. Thanks television. by the blobcat I can't locate the duo valve on a w203 I suppose they will be in a different location, I've looked every where , it is probably string me in the face , I’m just not looking at the obvious
