Noticed the car seemed noiser at idle today.
If I turn the fan off or press the EC button the noise goes, investiged under bonnet when I got home. Noise seems to come from the air-con compressor and is a dry bearing type of noise - also air con didn't seem very effective.
I'm new to air con - but would the compressor make more noise if I'd lost gas and it was effectively running "dry"?
Car is due for a service in 900 miles (will be two weeks time) and I can get it looked at then (under warranty). Assume it's advisable to run in EC mode until then (if noise is a bearing type issue).
Cheers
