Will a good diagnostic machine throw up all faults with the aircon on my Cls Grand Edition

If you do a search online you’ll find instructions on how to use the front panel of the a/c control unit to find the fault
code

I did have a look at that video earlier but ive got a different layout to that on my car.

Couldn't find one for my motor.
Its a cls 350 Grand Edition 2010.

It will depend on what the fault is you are looking for, for example, it will not show if there is a small leak within the system, an air con engineer with correct machine will find that. If its flaps not opening or closing, or some other electronic issue then perhaps star will have to be used,

Would a Icarsoft mercedes diagnostic machine find the fault?

Air con faults are logged on the aircon unot itself.
find the unit on youtube and look for the sequence of keys to get into log mode.

Icarsoft wont pull it up.

Diagnostics have thrown up Hvac motor failure short to ground.
