Please Help

I have a C180 estate

When I turn the Air Flow switch for either the Heater or the A/C, nothing happens. I have checked the main fuse box and all seems fine. It once picked up during a long drive after however since then it hasn't been working. When I switch it on it gives an initial sound as if something is about to happen but it then goes quiet. Because this switch does not come on I cannnot use either the Heater or the A/C.

Is there anything I can check to try an make it work again or does Air Flow Switch have a seperate fuse somewhere in the car.

Please help

Heater fan switch

This is a long shot because I have a W124 not a C class. I have recently had a similar problem with the fan dying. After researching on this forum and on Benzworld.com I looked very closely at the fuse box. There is a separate fuse for the heater blower 25A. The fuse had not actually blown however the heat had been sufficient to slightly distort the fuse holder plastic base to the point where the fuse itself had ceased to make contact with one of the brass contacts. A small pad of kitchin foil to close the gap sorted everything out - fan working better than ever! :)
Hope its as easy as that for you.
