Hi Guys, Need a little help / Advise, 2006 S class 320 W221, been having problems with air suspension, Been checked out on a Star system , which came down to pump not producing enougth pressure, Then it decided to to pack up altogether, So have new pump on order (Been removed today ) So wile ive got the system down I'm going to replace the valve block & the inline compressor filter, What im stuck on is how to excess the valve block ? (square one about 4" X 3") cant see what is holding it in place, Do i need to remove the Head Light to gain access to the block, Had a look on YouTube but cant find this block being removed, only ones i have seen are long oblong ones, If any one has changed one can you let me know how you got to it ?????? Thanks.

When I removed and reconditioned my one a few years ago, everything was accessed via the front wheel arch with the arch liner cover removed.. only a couple of bolts holding it if I remember. Number the air lines before removing...

once its been working hard enough it can pop the fuse... in my diagnostics it just said lock out due to low air pressure. So no idea whether it was just the popped fuse causing it not to run.... or a consequence of a safety system locking down to stop it dropping to the floor.

and thus I never found out if you need diagnostics with two way comms to re enable the air pump.... or just fit a fuse because I went to an indy who sorted it with a new pump.

W211 may have different type valve block (connections double line) while W220 has all 'inline'...

Hope OP bought genuine MB block, read lotsa bad about chinese airmatic blocks .

Wighty; it was Airmatic or ABC
