Hi all. My heater refuses to blow warm air through the two middle/centre vents on the dash. The side vents are fine. It is an R129 SL300. Any ideas!?

P.S. I have checked the controls are on the correct settings!

Cheers.

Middle vents are for fresh air only on my Merc. Yours is probably the same. It's a silly design I think. Means you get a cold hand in winter and the other is warm.

Best I read my handbook again! That would make sense (ish). What is the point of having cold air vents on a convertible!! I put my roof down anytime if it is dry/no salt on the roads. Just as well I was brought up on the NE coast.:p

Thanks for the reply Stevie.

Your Mercedes
2002 SL500, 216 CL500, all fully loaded
Around late 96 the air flow was changed so that you can have the choice of hot or cold (icy cold) In the warm weather in town its very handy to have the choice from the center vents
