I have recently removed the passenger airbag from my car and want to know how to prevent the airbag warning light from remaining on. Am prepared to remove driver's airbag too and disable the entire system if necessary. It was suggested that I might try putting a 3ohm resistor across the terminals as this was what the system is 'looking for'. Any experience anyone could share? What are the mot issues? Thanks.

Yes a 3kΩ,3.3Ωk to 3.9kΩ over the contacts should be OK.

There are two connectors into the back of the airbag. Do I put resistor across each of these terminals (I think they each have two pins?) so that I use two resistors in total? If not then what?
Also when buying resistors, what wattage should I use? Thanks.
