Airbag recall

Do many book theirs in for a product fix via the dealer, I have one for the front passenger airbag. My garage is not that close, and I expect I will going there and waiting.

I did exactly that yesterday at my main dealers. As they are changing both driver and passenger airbags I have been asked to leave the car with them. Apparently the drivers airbag is quite quick to change but the passenger one can take up to 3 hrs.
I was told its a 6 week wait for the parts so booked in for 7th Nov. They won't order the parts without a booking.

I suppose they are doing them via vin numbers or reg years or some systematic system. Ringing in and booking maybe jumps the queue. My letter states 4 weeks order time from Germany.

I had my R Class done. Only drivers side needed doing. Took 30 minutes (after they told me they'd done it when they hadn't and called me to go back again).

Easy to see when done - steering wheel centre and buttons are all nice and new.
