Airbag warning light C220CDI

I recently lubricated a sticky parking brake and removed the trim panel above the pedals and also the drivers seat for access.
Now I have an airbag warning light coming up showing "front right malfunction"
Could this be because the seat was removed and therefore the electrical connections which includes a seat airbag? If so is it a dealer reset or something as simple as disconnecting the battery for a few minutes?
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Removing your seat while the battery was connected has indeed triggered the warning light/message. It needs resetting but it can be done elsewhere than a dealer .... an independent will do it or anyone else with a decent scan tool. Or .... buy an iCarsoft and do it yourself which leaves you with a code reader for future use.

Yes as above, battery off won't do it, but a good scan tool will do it. If your local, pop in and I will do it for nothing.

Thank you all for your helpful advice. Unfortunately I am in Bedfordshire and therefore unable to take you up on your kind offers to reset and for the offers of tea! Much appreciated!
I will probably buy a scan tool and have it for future use.
