Airbag warning light

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where the above pictured Airbag Sensor is located please.
My car is a 99 Model W208 CLK 230 Komp., I've been told it is located behind the Radio but I've removed that as well as the Oddments Tray and can't find it.
Other places I've looked is under both front seats, unscrewed both panels on underside of dashboard in each footwell, boot compartment and obvious places under the bonnet but to no avail. It connects to a 2-3" long multiplug connector on one side.

Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi Bam Bam, the air bag control unit is located behind the ashtray (below the radio), it is bolted to the tunnel (centre console), please ensure that when removing the old control unit you remove the key from the ignition switch and disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Safety first!

...thanks for that Jat, appreciate your help, I'll start again and see if I can remove the ashtray for better access.

....great, found it. Removed the tray complete with the 12v Plug connector and I can just see one corner of it, only problem is there is an inner plastic backing to the tray and it looks like this has to come off which looks to be a real pain or to cut it away to gain access. I'd rather not cut it even though it won't make any difference when the tray is replaced.
Anyone ever taken one of these out. !!
