Hi all.
Quick question regarding the Aircon in my car.
I'm presuming it should be listed as an extra on the orignal packing slip?
As none of the codes I have mention Air con?

Does this mean that its aftermarket? Any way I can tell?

Cheers

The easiest way to tell if it is a genuine system or an aftermarket one is to look what type of switch you have to switch the system on and compare it to a car of the same make with air con, if an aftermarket system from another manufacturer the switch will be totally different from the others you will see and possibly not match the other switches on your dash, now if it is a genuine Merc system fitted after the car was built which a lot of cars particular Japanese were in the 80's it will be genuine parts but you probably wont be able to tell.

Cheers Mr. Fridge.

Hmm, its definately Merc controls/console allright.

Just thought it would be mentioned on the extras list.
Unless it is an offical MB one added later.

Sounds like its either genuine or Diavia system (which uses genuine controls). Diavia is a reputable make and spares are readily available.
