I have a 2010 Ml 300. It seems to need recharging annually on the aircon but when charged it seems to have different temperatures coming out of the two centre vents on the dash board area.

The passenger vent is definitely colder than the driver side vent. Is there any sort of splitter flap or something that might need realigning ?

I had a new condenser put on it 18 months ago at an eye watering £500 hoping it would cure all my problems .

Any help appreciated.

I don’t suppose you have different temperature settings for passenger and driver side on your car?

Assuming it’s not a brain fart as above (!)… is it possible to re-sync the stepper motors / flaps via control panel on an ML of this age or would you need Star?

I have hunted all over for the process to re-sync the flaps for my 2010 ML 350 W164. with no luck

I have found loads of different models but not mine and I have tried the other models process without any luck .

Does anybody have the process to use to carry out the re-sync.

From what I've read this can be due to the evaporator being partially blocked.
It sits behind the dash and is a bitch to replace, apparently.

Other than that there are mixer flaps, similar location. The drives can become worn. I believe.
