I would be greatful for any suggestions for heater fault.
March 1999 - C180 elegance manual heater control,
With the aircon on, the Temperature dosn't run cold enough like it use to, it seems to be an intermittent fault.
It has been re gassed but the symptom still remains.
When both the heaters are set to lowest temperature settings I have noticed that both the heater solenoid valves pulse, say every 2 seconds and can feel warm water passing through them, if i disconnect & reconnect the wiring plug to the solenoids the heater will go to maximum & then once cooled down the pulsing stops and will run very cold until the pulsing returns to the solenoids after a few minuets.
I was wondering if it could be the inlet air temperature sensor playing up, any suggestions please as to get to this i think is a real pig of a job, steering coloum and the dashboard has to come out, or am i wrong, many thanks for any suggestions peter
