Can anyone enlighten me whether I should get an audible indication that the alarm is armed/disarmed when operating the key fob central locking?. The car is an E class (on an X 2000 plate) and I do get the visual indication via the indicators. There is no mention in the owners manual regarding an audible confirmation.
Cheers, Jim

No sound on mine, just the three flashes of the indicators.

MB's lock discreetly, since it is now more normal that when you unlock it just does the drivers door MB are mooving over to electric locking, rather than the vacuam, its on the 203 and 211 and a couple more. what useless info:)

My CLK never gave any audible arming or disarming "noise".
However after having a problem with the alarm last year a new Klaxon was fitted by the Main dealership and my problem rectified.
However the car now bleeps once when opening and three times when locking!
Any comments "chaps"?
