I appear to have a problem with my MB alarm. There is no audible signal when any of the sensors are triggered. The hazard lights start to flash but that is it! Does any one know where the siren is located and if there is an on/off switch.

If it's a UK dealer fit job there's likely to be a red whooper under the bonnet on the o/s/f inner wing. It may have a keyswitch on it

Is it a W124? Does the car have RCL with a flip-out key?

I had the same problem with the alarm on my slk had to have a new siren fitted on it. 220 pounds later job done, alarm unit only costs £60ish but didn't have time to do the job myself.

It is a W124 with a flip out key RCL hence I do not think it is dealer fitted. Is the alarm normaly fitted to a car's horn or does it have a seperate siren?

If it has RCL ask a dealer. I don't know where the siren is - or even if there is one - on RCL cars. They're relatively rare

You might want to take a look on the Russian site - could be useful
