alarm goes off when locking

when i lock from my key the doors lock but the alarm sounds and lights continue to flash? I have removed central locking fuse for now! I can lock the doors using the very small key. any ideas?

Alarm siren Sir, its so common now there always on backorder, its under the wheel liner at the rear of the n/s/f wing!

well im pleased its a common fault and can be repaired and thought the sound was coming from there!
any more info for a novice like me? is it something I can repair or do I need to do the 40 mile round trip to my dealer?

New unit at a cost of £70, check the wiring hasnt rubbed through onto the siren frame before buying a new siren,

It's hidden under a plastic flap at the back of the left wheel arch

To rempove the siren it is held on with some security torx bolts. When you replace the siren you may need to get it coded with a Star.

Alarm problem on C200 from 2000

My alarm also goes off all the time of my C200 from 2000..... any idea how i could fix the problem?
