Desperately hoping someone can help.

Wife misplaced her car keys in the 1000's of handbags she has so used mine, then promptly had them digested by a rubbish compactor. Realising keys had been 'eaten' she then found her keys within 2 minutes and now it is my problem !!!

Managed to replace the key for my '94 C-class (just £95 lighter in the wallet from Stealership). However my '88 124 Coupe is another matter. Previously mentioned Stealership was very helpful " a 124 coupe...didn't know they made one of those.....Scorpion Alarm ? ...... whats that then ? "

I have a spare set of keys so got another cut.

Mercman in Southampton has supplied me with a new 'blipper' but how do you 'tune' these ? (I have one that works for the car) ?

Also I have a little red key that goes into a slot on the steering column that releases the imobiliser..... does anyone know the 'story' with these ? can you get new ones ?

Hoping someone can help otherwise may trade wife with free 300ce coupe !!!!

Try this Mark......... No guarantee mind you.

  • Press the open button or close button twice in sucession on new fob.
  • Within 15 sec of this, turn key in ignition '2'
If this doesn't work, you may have to visit the dealer or alarm specialist.
Regards the red alarm emerg, key. You can use it to program a new black one.
