ALARM LED AND BUTTON ON THE DASH?

My 1995/6 e220 has what I think is a MB alarm system (scorpion??). I have no documentation on the alarm from the previous owner. System seems to work fine but I don't know what the red LED (the led illuminates when the alarm is activated) and small push button on the dash beside the rotary light switch does. Someone said it is for switching the ultrasonics off and on??? Anyone out there got any info on how this system works or a wiring diagram. Scorpion says the system is specifically for MB and cannot give me any info. Thanks.

press and hold the button before arming the car -( LED or the RVM LED will flash) then arm the car as normal, and ultrasonics are off.

Thanks KOOLVIN . At the risk of sounding dim,does repeating the process re-arm the ultrasonics then??

re-arming the ultrasonics will be done automatically ! your overide will only work for that arming session

you need to press the button each time till led comes on red to disable the ultrasonics.
