Hiya, I'm new here so PLEASE be gentle.

I've had a look at the other posts and they aren't exactly the same problem.

I have a 1995 N Reg C180 Elegance.

The problem I'm having is as follows.

When I unlock the car with the fob it unlocks, no problem there but the LED's on my RVM AND Drivers door handle all flash Red/Green constantly and the alarm goes off.

The Fob is the Single button flick key.

I changed the batteries about 3 weeks ago. Could it still be the batteries?

Any help would be well recieved.

Thanks in advances.

When you lock the car, if the cabin lights go out in the usual way then you can eliminate the door pins. I would check that the bonnet pin is pushed down properly when the bonnet is shut as sometimes the are badly mounted and become loose resulting in your symptoms. Also check the boot pin, if a door is not properly shut the alarm will go off.

Cheers, I'll try them.

I did top up the Washer reservoir last thing last night, and not been back in the car between that and the problem this morning.

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
Normally when the L.E.D.'s are flashing this way it indicates that the fob batteries are flat, and i have heard it could also mean the car battery is on its way out.
Try disconnecting the cars battery for 2-3 minutes then reconnect.
If this does,nt work disconnect car battery and leave car battery on charge for a few hours and see if this helps at all.
I can confirm that my fob batteries don,t last long so before spending out on any diagnostic work try replacing the fob batteries again (they could of been outside of their sell by date)

Thanks a million to all who offered suggestions.

In the end it turned out to be the fob batteries.

You are all stars, more so when you consider the pound signs that were flashing before my eyes :)
