I afraid all I have is the basic hand book by way of "Service History" I can tell you that the fob is oblong with two square buttons at the top, a switch on the side that slides up and down, and a "female" socket with 3 pins inside on the oposite side to the switch!
Doesnt sound like an original alarm, if i remember correctly, it sounds like the old toad remotes with the two rubber buttons.
So maybe contact toad who will tell you (website usually has manuals). Usually you have to go through a sequence of pressing the buttons and turning the ignition on and off.
The alarm fob you have sounds like a Scorpion alarm fob. If its not working start with a battery. Check the connections inside. Make sure the alarm is switched on, usually there is a key to switch it on and off. The key socket could be in a number of places. If it turns out the alarm is broken. Replace with a later alarm. No point in repairing it. Too much cost for what essentially is an old alarm using old technology.
