The alsrm on my 124 was fitted by MB when the car was new. but looks like a scorpion unit.

Before I bouth the car the previous owenr had had a Car Electrics guy disable the immobiliser as it kept setting off and then the car would not go;)

I saw the connection into the siren was unplugged and put it back in assuming that nothing worked but did not like to see things hanging around!
This was a couple of days ago, but driving back from London yesterday all of a sudden the siren went off:Oops: I quickly jumped out and pulled the plug out again! all ok and proceeded.

I would like to get the system and immobiliser working again. Are there any compatiable units that i could fit using the same detectors save doing a rewire jobby?:(

alarm

hi, i had a similar problem, if you remove the alarm unit and send it to scorpion they will check and repair it for a very reasonable price

Most makers of alarms have one suitable for your car.

The most reliable alarm is simply a flashing lamp (LED) fitted where it can be seen easily wired to come on when the key is in your pocket.

The little scrotes wont touch your car just in case it is real.

You do not say which fuel but on a petrol injection model putting a switch (hidden) in line with the fuel pump will stop the car from being run even if the so and so hot wires the ignition.
